A Complicated Way To Die is a reflection of our societies culture of turning our backs on the weak and needy.
Through are protagonist Mr. Ellis we are given a sneak peak into the shadows of mental illness and not just the loneliness trapped behind closed doors but the loneliness of a mind that can not handle loss and change.
Mr. Elis has an exhausting mental illness. He has lost his career, his mother, his best friend his only voice in a busy world.
The only crutch left for him, a Goverment system that appears to be geared against him has unjustly and unknowingly began the beginning of the end, a series of designs and sketches, wires, cogs and a innocent young family accumulate in the only choice that Mr. Ellis thinks he has.
Nothing is glamourized, its beautiful, its terrifying, it lives and breathes in the horror-like world of 21st century poverty but never rumbling to social realism clichés .
"...the moral test of government is how that Government treats those who are in the dawn of life, the Children ,those who are in the twilight of life, the elderly; those who are in the shadows of life; the sick, the needy and the handicapped. "Hubert Horatio Humphrey (May 27, 1911 – January 13, 1978)
